Meet Kelly Ann Patterson: Your Go-To-Expert for Learning and Office Support
Kelly Patterson’s adventure in computer software training kicked off in the late 1980s when she launched Justice Temps, Inc., a legal employment agency in Columbus, Ohio. She noticed that job applicants were missing crucial software skills, so she took matters into her own hands. Kelly created her own course materials and started offering power-packed two-hour training sessions, transforming how candidates were prepared.
Clients of Justice Temps quickly realized the outstanding quality and effectiveness of Kelly’s training. This led to an expansion of her services to Columbus’ top law firms. But Kelly didn’t stop there; she also provided end-user support at help desks in both Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio, delivering tailored and comprehensive training solutions.
Driven by a love for education and technology, Kelly extended her expertise beyond the legal field. She earned an Ohio vocational teaching certificate and taught evening classes and full-day workshops for the Eastland Vocational School District in Groveport, Ohio. Kelly’s dedication took her across the U.S. and Canada, empowering people from all backgrounds with software training, smooth rollouts, and support during stressful upgrades and conversions.
After a successful decade with Justice Temps, Kelly was ready for new challenges and moved to Colorado. She became the Microsoft instructor at the Estes Park branch of Front Range Community College for nearly three years. Her classes continued to be a hit at Longmont Free University, where she built a loyal following.
For the past three years, Kelly has been working with a company that provides training services to law firms across the U.S. and Canada. Her role involves revamping training programs to make them more effective, ensuring that legal professionals get the best training experiences. Kelly’s innovative approach and commitment to excellence have made her a trusted partner in the legal industry.
Kelly’s contract training adventures thrive under her own business, The Office Wiz. Her teaching philosophy has remained consistent over the years: present relevant information in a fun and easygoing environment. From beginners who are hesitant to turn on their computers to advanced users, Kelly has written comprehensive manuals, developed a wide range of classes, and consulted with countless computer users, making a lasting impact on everyone she teaches.
